You think you should be fine, but you’re not. You get overwhelmed easily. Anxiety creeps in and it feels hard to breathe.

If you are feeling chronically overwhelmed, excessively worried, on edge, and stuck in loops of overthinking…

Then you are in the right place.

Is it anxiety?

Some degree of stress and anxiety are normal in life, but when it starts to negatively affect your life, then it is time to get help.

These are some clues you might be experiencing anxiety.

  • Irritability

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Constant worrying/fears (“What if’s”)

  • Sleep trouble/insomnia

  • Ruminating over situations

  • Obsessive or negative thoughts

  • Avoidance of specific places or situations

  • Stomach issues

  • Headaches/body aches

  • Elevated heart rate

  • Difficulty “shutting off” your mind

  • Nervousness in social situations (social anxiety)

How Therapy Can Help with Anxiety

The reality is that more people experience symptoms of anxiety than you might think, yet only a small percentage seek help for the issue. If you are tired of constantly worrying, feeling overwhelmed, and exhausted then therapy can help.

  • You will learn how to identify the triggers for your anxiety and understand why it happens. Becoming aware of triggers and symptoms is the first step in the journey

  • We will work together to set goals and create an action plan in dealing with your anxiety. This may include small activities that you do outside of session as exposure or to reframe thoughts.

  • I will introduce techniques and tools to help you manage your anxiety, such as:

    • CBT - According to research, this method is one of the most effective ways to help with anxiety. You will learn to identify and reframe negative thinking.

    • Exposures- If there are particular fears involved, we can gradually introduce exposures to help you conquer your fear.

    • Mindfulness- This may include breathing and calming exercises, and working to be actively present.
